A Christmas Poem

A moment's reflection on the season:

Mother and Child

I see thee, little child in your mother's lap.
In you the impossible has come to be,
Creator enters creation and takes a nap
As mother you did make sings lullaby to thee

Merry Christmas, friends!

I was dreaming of a green Christmas

I was dreaming of a green Christmas,
just like the ones I used to know,
with the tree tops dripping
with raindrops glistening,
where a rose blossom or  two would redly grow.

I'm dreaming of a green Christmas,
Far from the streets all filled with snow,
where the lead skies gray out
and the daylight fades out
Too short, and depressed I tend to go.

I'm dreaming of a green Christmas,
no more snowflakes in my sight
May your day be filled with sweet delight
may all your  Christmases be just right..

We just got put under a winter storm watch, with snow forecasted every day from Sunday through Friday.  And I thought I'd at least have a brown Christmas this year....Ah, 30 degrees lattitude, how I miss you sometimes....

And hubby's just so filled with chattiness tonight....no quiet for writing.
