Today is the 4 month anniversary of EIMH.  (at least of posting it on ED)

Longest I ever stayed with one writing project, and the longest piece of writing I think I've ever done.

Mental milestone.

A lot more fun than writing knitting books.

Now on to chapter two of ATE...

Congratulations! The longest I ever took to write a story - that is finished is 4 years. But I had a 3 year hiatus..as for writing until I was finished - I did "Can't Get Enough" in a month - all 33 chapters. NOL has been going on for over 2 months now...hope I can finish it by Xmas because - it won't be over when it is finished! I have to do a sequel ::slaps forehead with palm of hand in exasperation at crazy muse:::

Can't wait for second chapter of ATE!

You write faster than me...or maybe I read more fanfics in between writing bouts? LOL....

Sequels, eh? Looking forward to what your clever muse will come up with.

Hooray!! that is awesome news to hear! Races around happily!!

It is good. I'm learning lots about long distance writing...for someone who specialized in 100-200 word poems, this has been the most interesting experience....
Dec. 12th, 2007 07:20 pm (UTC)
yay!! That is even better!! Learning something new!
Dec. 11th, 2007 09:22 pm (UTC)
Yes, yes, more of ATE!
Dec. 12th, 2007 02:19 am (UTC)
Working on it! I have a feeling it's going to be an interesting piece to write...
Dec. 12th, 2007 02:15 am (UTC)
Congrats! And just wait until you complete it -no better feeling in the world!
Thanks for posting on ED, too. Chibi and I enjoy your stuff.
Dec. 12th, 2007 02:18 am (UTC)
You don't know how glad I am that ED exists....Glad I have something to share there!
Dec. 13th, 2007 03:12 am (UTC)
Honestly, that was the goal. There were like NO I/K only sites and I told Chibi, I'm going to change that. We're still small, always will be, but we cater to our members and I'm really hands on. I think that "homey" feeling is missing from these sites.

So thanks for giving us a shot. We look forward to making you some more awards! :D

It doesn't seem like it's been that long. Then again, I can't believe I've been working on Minoue for over six months now. This year has just flown by.
Dec. 12th, 2007 04:11 am (UTC)
Minoue is so much fun. I am really glad you're writing it.
Dec. 12th, 2007 04:16 am (UTC)
thanks! I've been enjoying it as well since it's so different from anything I've ever done. I still find it hard to believe I'm writing an AU.
Dec. 12th, 2007 08:45 pm (UTC)
I know how you feel! My crazy muse threw me an AU and I panicked and had to ask my beta if she thought I should do it. But the AU is proving more popular than I ever expected - and I am enjoying writing it more than I expected! Six months on "Minoue" WOW! I hope I'm done with "This Wasn't In the Job Description" before that. But I get the feeling this story is going to go on for a loooong time...(sigh).

I raced through my first couple of fics (nearly killed myself on Blood & Tears), but then learned to pace myself a little better in hopes of not burning out. Not to mention I do work full time, and sometimes RL just gets in the way. I'm actually several chapters ahead of what I have posted, but I stay on the same schedule more or less in case my muse abandons me for awhile or I just don't have the time. Considering some of the fics out there have been going on for two or more years, I'm not going to be in such a rush to post. Not to mention, I have two betas now that the chapters go to after I'm finished, so I have to allow time for that. I'll not abandon any of my fics, but I'll not rush to finish them before I'm ready if I can help it. I ended the third part of Live and Let Die (Learning to Deal) earlier than I really intended to because it was the first one that actually took a full year to get that far, and I was tired of fanbrats demanding I post new chapters. It wasn't pleasant to post a oneshot to try and get out of my slump only to have someone post a review that bitched about the fact it wasn't a new chapter of LTD. At that point, I decided it was time to end it even though I had quite a bit more planned out in my head. So I did and moved on.

I've been having fun with Minoue, though. I hope I can eventually get everything on paper that's in my head for it.

Hey, Sweetie! Congrats!

Not always easy to write fanfics, I know. I'm stuck with 'life happenings', too.

I hope that you'll keep on writing a few more chappies for EIMH, 'cause you've got something really special going on here.

It's deep and instructive, along with being one heck of a good story, to boot.

Just one question, though...what's ATE?

Hope I don't sound too ignorant here. Please forgive me. I love the way you write, & the poems that open each chapter are a delight in themselves.

Keep me posted, KK, & know that I'm just a few clicks away.

Luv Ya!

Re: WOW!
After the End...a new story I am working on...takes place a couple of months after the gang beat Naraku. I'm only on Chapter 2 and had to do a little research yesterday and today, but it's what I'll be posting next. First chapter is on ED, but not AFF.
Dec. 12th, 2007 11:48 pm (UTC)
Re: WOW!
Sweetie, I hardly ever go on AFF anymore. I'm even starting to transfer the stories that I've got posted there on other sites, just in case.

There's an awful lot of shnit being thrown there, lately. Not the new managements fault, though, no way (!), 'cause JAXXXY is a true blue SUPER TROOPER; but she's gotta pick up all of the left-over shnit from the ones before her. Unfortunately, when you go onto the site, Inuyasha just doesn't seem to exist. If you don't remember the name of a favorite author, you're given the run-around, believe me. I recently went through it.

I don't know HOW many times I was told that I had ZERO stories!

Well.....EXCUUUUUUSSSE ME!!! To MY knowledge, I've got TWO! Who are you to tell me squat different.

Get the picture?

Sooooo, as soon as you've finished posting, please let me know where, okay?

I love the way you write. It's refreshing, and a welcome change from lots of other stuff that's posted a bit all over the place, including my own stuff.

It's unique, & that's what I love about it!

Till next time, JA NE.

Re: WOW!
Here's my stories over at ED...ATE is the first one on the list, in case you want to read chapter 1.

I think I'll be alternating from writing a chapter of EIMH and ATE, with the occasional one shot thrown in. We'll see how that goes!

Re: WOW!
sweetie, I'm looking forward to it. as soon as I get the chance, I will. It's been hell on earth for me & hubby, lately, with Denis' death and all. I even had to cut a chapter in two for I & M. something that I'm not used to doing. If all goes well, part two will go up sometome next week.

Still, I tend to lose patience with all of this 'life' business that we REALLY didn't have any business taking care of.

Anywhoos, thanks again.

I'll be keeping in touch, don't you worry.

Luv Ya.

You might try Nobunaga Concerto where a modern time traveler exchanges places with Nobunaga. Follows Nobuanaga historically
