Writer's Block: As primitive as can be

If you were stranded on an island and could pick one thing to have with you, what would it be, and why?

My answer would be a knife made of high carbon steel.  Even if I couldn't find any stone that would spark it, I could use it as a knife to make other tools, like a bow drill to start a fire, stuff to make shelter with, prepare food with, catch or dig up food with, protect myself, and so on.

Think about these questions too much, I think....
