BllackMamba07 has pulled her fic.  I'm gonna especially miss Mirrors and A New Game....  Loved your work, BlackMamba.  You will be missed!

(If anybody has saved a copy of A New Game, drop me a note, pretty please.  There's a passage in there that is really special for me.  I should have saved that chapter so long ago....)

She has pulled all her stories? That is sad...wonder why she did it.

Inusaga now Black Mamba.

Huh. I wonder why.

Wait, what?! Oh, man...that sucks! :(

I wish she'd left some contact info. I'm deadly curious now why, she pulled it!

That's really unfortunate; any hint as to why?

I know and expect an email from me with the story. It's one I managed to snag for my own personal private collection before she pulled them.

oooh! Bless you!

D= that's sad - I wish I would have followed up on downloading those fics before she pulled them!!
*makes a mental note to do so on the rest of her favorite fics next chance she gets*

Shoot! I really loved her stuff. And I've just noticed that InuSaga is gone too, which really makes me sad. I'd been thinking off and on about reading Full Circle again... :(

Actually, it's a bit alarming how many of my faved authors on ff.net are now listed as having zero stories. Really have to get around to saving the ones I mean to save before any others disappear.

She's not gone. Just a new name. No idea why.
Dec. 10th, 2010 06:31 pm (UTC)
Yeah, if you mean Inusaga. She wanted space between her name and her interests.

Hm. Well has she reposted any of her old stories? Or do you know of anyone who has them somewhere? I've really been kicking myself since last night for not having gotten around to saving them... (*sigh*)
Dec. 10th, 2010 07:21 pm (UTC)
Nope, and she doesn't intend to repost them...someone was bugging her for copies of them a few weeks ago and she made it pretty clear that was that (not to say people don't have'em, but I don't.)

Well that's just obnoxious. An excellent writer, but she's definitely lost my respect as an author. Fine, it's her work to do with as she pleases, but what could she possibly have to gain by guarding so closely something that's been posted on the internet for years and is of no commercial value? Fine if she doesn't want to be bothered about it, but why not send out a few copies and let them filter through? If I ever decide to leave for good, I'm leaving contact info and emailing stories to anyone who asks -- it really pisses me off when people decide to just disappear.

(*sigh*) Sorry, ranting... ;)

Could be she was afraid it'd come back and bite her later...

What? Nooo... I discovered that InuSaga's stuff was gone just one week after she pulled everything. And my all time favorite by her's was 'Watcher in the Darkness.' (Which I luckily have a copy of.) Then another favorite of mine, 'Mirrors' is pulled by BlackMamba. Yes, what is going on? And Nikki, can I get a copy of 'Mirrors' from you?

I do agree with frameofmind. I would never pull my stuff. Though I should tell everyone that Adult Fan Fiction just threatened to pull 'He's My Girl' because my author's notes were over 600 words. (That is so anal. I'm not wading through every chapter to edit.) So if that story dissapears from AFF, that is the reason why.

I write Fan Fiction for fun. It's not professional. I never expect to make any money off of it. I am so incredibly saddened when excellent works dissapear off of the Internet. I better make some backup copies of my favorites while I still can. SIGH...

And if InuSaga or BlackMamba read this I do want to say that you are both excellent writers and that I only want your stories because once I read something it becomes part of my soul and my life. And there are times when I need to read and review those precious pieces of literature that have been ingrained into me. Losing any of my favorite stories feels almost like losing a close friend.

Well, for what it is worth, my stuff won't go down unless they take it down...

Yeah, AFF gets weird about stuff...

AFF Mods are Huge Losers
oh AFF - I think some of the Mods are royal jerks who can't read with their eyes to save their lives. They smacked me down for not having proper disclaimer - I was "missing" not making money. When I use the same disclaimer ( I do not own nor make any monies off of Inuyasha and the gang. No, that pleasure completely belongs to the Goddess Rumiko Takahashi, Shounen Sunday, VIZ. I am only using them for pure entertainment value only ) which clearly states I don't make money after saying I don't own IY. So yea... they are big losers. So I can clearly see them getting on your case over a stupid A/N.

Bwahaha! I love the internet! I'm having some luck grabbing her stuff out of cached copies.

You are soooo darn lucky!

Can I pretty please (with sugar on top) get a copy of Mirrors from you? My e-mail is sherryleah@gmail.com. I will seriously cry if I can never read 'Mirrors' again.
