I do not own InuYasha or any of the characters created by Rumiko Takahashi
One Spring Afternoon Under the Cherry Tree
InuYasha looked at Kagome, sitting on a dark blue cloth under a cherry tree deep in the forest. A gust of wind stirred the pale pink blossoms, causing a handful of petals to drift towards the earth, scattering across her blanket and in her hair.
Something in him stirred as he moved closer. His springtime, watching her smiling at him.
Taking a few steps forward, he sat down on the ground next to her, plucked a petal off her bangs. She handed him a piece of chimaki. He unwrapped it from its bamboo leaf covering and popped it in his mouth. Kagome watched the blossoms and the play of the wind in the branches as she sipped her tea.
“Good day for blossom viewing,” she said, putting down her cup.
“Yeah,” he replied, looking only at her. Reaching out, he cupped her face in one hand, and leaned forward, letting his lips brush across hers gently. The kiss escalated as InuYasha pressed his advantage until she was laying down on the blanket, with him half-covering her with his body.
They broke for air. “Let’s stay here forever,” he whispered.
“I don’t know if Sango wants to babysit Atae that long,” she replied, smiling, pulling at the tie of his jacket. “But another hour wouldn’t hurt.”
“I’ll take what I can get,” he said, kissing her chin and moving down her neck. A hand moved towards her obi.
It was about two hours later before they packed up and left.
