I may be going to be a grandmother....

or maybe not.

Youngest son, who broke up with his fiancee about 2 months ago just found out that she's 3 months expecting.  It may be his, or not.

Time will tell.  But he was all ready to step into the daddy role when he told me the news, for which I was proud of him.  They will do paternity tests after the birth.

Strange evening.

Strange evening.

I'll say. I suppose I can guess why they broke up.

Wow, exciting either way.

I agree, his behavior is honorable.
We need more men like that.

Wow, what a good man! Tell your son he rocks and is exceedingly honorable - there's not a lot of men out there like that these days.

Congrats (perhaps)!

I think there is a paternity test that can be done while the baby is in the womb. Not the one where the child is put at risk but a blood test where they are able to draw from the mother's veins and then filter it so that only the fetal blood is left. I don't remember what it's called or how far along the baby has to be but if they could get that done they could know sooner rather than waiting for the birth.

In other news: your son has astounding courage and conviction. Wow.

They know it about the test...it'd take about twice the cost of the other one, so as of this moment, since they'd be paying out of pocket, they are opting to wait...

Yeah, I was very proud of him. They'd been together for quite awhile before they split up this summer...he cares a lot for her still, even he he claims not to.

Ah, I did not know about the cost difference. I completely understand.

Mazel tov... It's really cool, your son has that great sense of honor to do the right thing. I hope everything works out for the best.

Wow. Maybe your son needs to give my coauthor a call - she just dumped her boyfriend, a real creep.

We DO need more men like your son.

Well, from one Mammy to another, congratulations. Your son is definately something special, Sue.

Guess he takes after his Mom, hmm? You must be very proud, not only of him, but of yourself, too. There aren't many like him left.

Keep us posted, okay?

HUGS!!
