Damn. That's bad. My sister lives below Mt. Wilson and she said that they had planes flying low over her place most of the day, trying to keep the flames off the mountain. For any outer space geeks, JPL is basically shut down due to limited visibility and poor air quality.
Found out later what I was seeing was burnout work, and I could still get pics from Mt. Wilson at that time, but haven't gotten any for the last two hours... Hoping the burnouts keep everybody safe.
The webcam at Mt. Wilson is still working...I just pulled some pics from it...there's fire getting near, but not yet on the ridge the facility is on...but you can see fire on the ridge beyond it, and maybe down in the draw beneath it...
