InuYasha’s arms slid around Kagome, cupping each of her breasts in his hands, and he rested his chin on the top of her left shoulder.
“Baby’s asleep,” he murmured.
“I know,” she said, folding a small linen baby’s shirt. A basket was in front of her, half filled with things to put away.
“I could heat the bath water,” he said.
“That might be nice,” she replied, folding a pair of her tabi together.
“I could lay out the futon,” he offered.
“You could,” she said, shaking out a towel and quickly folding it.
He let his hands drift down below her waist, and dip towards her inner thighs. She puffed out a breath while moving his hands out of the way, and reached into the basket to find one of her underskirts, and began to fold it.
“Maybe I could go find my brother and pick a fight with him,” he said.
She turned and looked at him. His mouth was pouty, but his eyes were teasing. He shrugged. “Just was thinking that if I got hurt, you might pay some attention to me.” He flashed his soulful puppy face at her, just for emphasis.
Kagome laughed gently, and kissed him on the chin. “Go start the bath water heating, and let me finish folding these clothes. Maybe, I’ll even let you help me in the tub.”
He pulled her back into his embrace and nuzzled her ear. “And then? What afterwards?”
“Counts how good a bath attendant you are,” she said, pulling away from him and moving back to her laundry basket.
“Oh, I’ll be very, very good,” he said, with a final nuzzle of her neck that gave her goose bumps. Standing up, he walked off towards the bathing room.
“I bet you will,” she said, and returning to her work, she finished her folding surprisingly fast.
