Ok, I don't talk about it much,

But I am a certifiable news junkie.  Big time news junkie.  Have been since I was a kid.

Twitter, I have found, is the ultimate news junkie's fix.  I thought bloggers and news aggregators were cool.  Forget it.  Twitter is it.

I am following the fallout from the Iranian elections.  Coverage in the US is just really starting (I suspect the Weekend Effect is part of it...most of the first string reporters take the weekend off, unless something really major breaks), but coverage on twitter is non-stop, and there are people on the ground in Iran tweeting and taking pictures and getting the news out NOW. 

There's even #Cnnfails  keyword going around, complaining about the fact that they underreported yesterday.

Interesting what an impact a new way of doing things can have....
