Poem: My Not So Magic Mirror

Not IK

My Not So Magic Mirror

Looking in the mirror,
there are times I wish –
but sighing at my silliness,
I know
the fairness I wish for
isn’t bound in youth
or beauty
or clothes
or shape.
Ah, Peace!
Save me from the ponderings
of my might have beens,
used to be’s
or never to have beens
and help me see me to what matters,
here and now,
content with what is.
