Poem: In Bits and Pieces

Who says Irony and Buddhism can't go together?  Not IY

In Bits and Pieces

Falling apart
at the seams–
Part of me
doesn’t like
the thought of bits
and pieces
of me
sloughing off,
to fall by the wayside,
dribbling in
a long
line
of things
I have been,
felt,
knew,
longed for –
but there you go.
Or is it,
there I have been?
Each day,
a little less
attached,
I hope.
By the time
I get to the finish line,
perhaps
I’ll be ready
to let go of
I.
