Idle Wish

Idle wish:  That the reader who chews you out because your chapters are short and contain poems and other brief pieces would read the summary that clearly states that it isn't a chapter fic, but a collection of poems and drabbles and short pieces about InuYasha....

Either said person didn't pick up on that or thought somehow that it was irritating that the various short pieces were each on their own page...and I should make my chapters longer.

Somehow, it didn't matter, or she didn't realize that they were all stand-alone pieces, posted as written.

That was a bit different.

I actually like stories with short chapters; in fact, I tend to write my prose that way.

Don't sweat it. Someone is always going to find a reason to complain about something.

I occasionally get those comments as well. Somehow they missed the note that clearly stated it was for a challenge and the limit was 300 words (or whatever) - they want more and they want it now! Whatever happened to using your own imagination to fill in the blanks?

It's also annoying when you post something cleary stating it's a oneshot, and they demand more chapters. I'm glad they liked it, but it's done!

How irritating. The same thing goes for one-shots and they want you to update soon.

Oh, well. We can't make everyone happy!

Don't let them bother you, there's one in every crowd. They probably didn't bother to read the summary.

*cracks knuckles* You want me to take care of 'em for ya? :)

I groan too at those reviews. I have a theory that many do not read English fluently.

Annals of Unhelpful Criticism, vol. 1385743932.

Did that reader offer feedback the pieces themselves, or was it just a clueless comment about form?
