Alone again....

Once again, I'm a wildfire widow, as hubby is out in Montana, at the Sawmill Complex Wildland fire, in the Lolo NF.  The closest fire in the complex is something around 22 miles from Missoula.  I'm sure he'll be busy telling local people about things like evacuations and what the fire is doing starting today, which is a lot of what information officers do...let the people most affected know what's going on.

Amazingly he has decent cell coverage where he is...some of it digital roaming, but he has been in places where he didn't have analog roaming.

Yesterday, I didn't write a single creative word.  Instead, I concentrated on getting hubby out of the house, going grocery shopping (harder to cook for one) and reading.

This morning I had to get up at five to give hubby a wakeup call...but I didn't sleep well.

But I can play all my hard, edgy music over the stereo and not have to use headphones.  I shocked my niece (she's just about 22) when she found out that I would listen to Nickelback and Three Day's Grace...but I always have like edgy music.  And technopop.  And assorted other flavors of music, some of them very old, some of them pretty new.

I may be going to celebrate my 52nd birthday this month, but I am still the crazy girl I was back in the day...only the container has worn a bit.  And the contents are a bit wiser.

So today, I have promised myself I will go for a walk by the river (and take my camera), write something, and do the dishes.

We'll see how far I go with my good intentions.
