How often do you get writer's block?
From time to time. I get where I just can't make myself sit down and write.
How do you fix it?
Counts what causes it. Exhaustion? Wait it out. Nothing to say? Look for something that sparks the need. Read fics that help me get into the mood. Find a new purpose.
Do you type or write by hand?
Computer is the only way to go with hands like mine!
Do you save everything you write?
Not the silly on the spot snarks, usually, but most everything that's got a real value to me. And not the outtakes, either.

Sometimes. I really ought to dig out that cyberpunk story I was working on in the 80s....

Hmmm... don't know for sure. Maybe one of my knitting books.

A mix of having read a zillion stories, lots of myth and fairy tale, life experience, news, and weird thoughts.
Do you prefer happy endings, sad endings, or cliff-hangers?
Oh, I use cliffies, but for the final endings, I like them to resolve as the story demands it, but for the most part, they seem happy.
Have you ever written anything based on an artwork you've seen?
Yes, but not much.
Are you concerned with spelling and grammar as you write?
I worry about pulling a William Faulkner and writing a sentence that can go on for more than a page....Spell and grammar checks help the final cleanup.

Absolutely. I have my own special playlist for writing to.
Are people surprised and confused when they find out you write well?
I really don't think so.
Quote something you've written.
Something in him stirs, then, at those moments,
and he pauses,
thinking briefly at the might have beens
that were not,
that could not be,
that did not happen,
and knows the touch of regret,
and like the wind,
sometimes, he sighs.

Spend all of today reading Inusaga's Full Circle and laying back. Both sons actually called me to wish me happy Mother's Day. Second year in a row!
