I think...

I think I fell in love with the 11th Doctor tonight...

Wasn't looking to;  I got to admit, in Doctor land, the 4th doc was my main heart throb...but I think Doctor 11 just kicked Doctor 3 out out the fav list...And Doc 4 might have to watch out....

been 11 actors who played the doctor over time...each one is different, and each has their particular fans. My favorites are the 4th doctor, played by Tom Baker, the 3rd doctor, played by Jon Pertwee, and the current guy, who's last name escapes me right now...back in the 80s, I was the biggest Doctor Who fan....

I never was much for sci-fi but I can appreciate your fandom.

I grew up on cheesy SF films, SF heavy TV shows like The Outer Limits and the Twilight Zone, serious sf lit, and the first not kid book I ever read (at age 8) was a sf novel set on Mars that my dad had brought home (he was definitely the SF geek in the family until I out-geeked him).

So I was pretty primed to fall into Dr. Who fandom. Some things are just fate.

I liked Twilight Zone, and that one - Alfred Hitchcock Presents, I think it was, and Star Trek, and I've read Stranger in a Strange Land, but I was very select. Some of it as just too far out there to hold my interest.

I understand how that can happen.

Well, I LOVED 9 - he was my first doctor as I never watched the old series.

It took me a long time to get used to 10.

I do love 11 though. I loved him from the start. I don't know if I like him or 9 more but it's a close thing.

I agree with you and salome. The 9th was my first doctor. Now I lovvved 10 and it took me watching the whole season (a one day marathon on DVR!) to fall for 11.

they stopped playing 'dr. who' in the eighties with the new doctor after colin baker along with all of the other brit-sci-fi (i especially liked 'red dwarf' and 'blake's seven'), funny thing is that they're still playing episodes of 'are you being served?' *shakes head sadly* i liked pertwee and tom baker, i thought peter davison was adorable.

i wouldn't know the first thing as to how to get any 'dr. who' episodes, i couldn't find any on youtube.

I watch it on BBCA on cable. Don't know where else it might be found...
