Idle thought....

Wondering about methods of keeping the people in my household from making noise and doing stuff that distracts me while I am writing....

Considered tape and rope, but I suspect that won't work very well...LOL.  Maybe getting them out to do endless errands....better than yelling Stop Making Noise, and do not hold conversations in the doorway of the computer room!!!  Those hallway conversations get me the most.....

Or if they lean over your shoulder watching you type. That really, really bugs me. *Giggles* You could always just ask them to leave you alone for a few hours. That's what I do, usually it works but sometimes I get the eye-roll from my sister. ^_^

I'd bean'em if they did that unless I was intentionally asking for it...gads...

I become so unpleasant that everyone is frightened of knocking on my office door if it is shut!

It is amazing what a closed door and a pair of headphones can do.

Share the room with hubby. He's not the problem, usually, though...

I have a pair of headphones I can't be without. I put them on, turn on some tunes and drown everyone else out. It's the only way I can get work done. On a related note, my husband hates my headphones.

My hubby and I both have computers in the same room...it's only a bedroom turned into an office, but it's our true living room. He's not too bad; it's when our son wanders in and wants to start doing stuff and talking that I really have trouble.

Oh, I def have headphones. And a good playlist. I'll probably end up moving my writing to the upstairs loft...where there are fewer chances for the shattering of the concentration. When I'm concentrated and into my story, it literally hurts when they break my chain of thought....

Shoot yeah. I know exactly what you mean. I hate it when my flow gets thrown off.

I have no idea as I have none of that. My distractions comes in the form of an adorable and attention seeking cat. She has no concept of 'leaving mummy alone while she sits and doesn't pay attention'. *sigh*

This year, I'm actually more worried about insistent schoolwork not leaving me alone. Even if that is more important than nano. And for the umpteenth time this week, I begin to wonder if nano now is a good idea.
