Yay!

Home from the hospital, a bit drugged, sleepy, moving around much better than I thought I would be (I'm not even going to need to camp out in the bedroom with my laptop, I'm sitting at my desk right now), a bit sore, but the operation went well, and all the pathology on the lymph nodes were good.

It's amazing to me that they can do things like this nowadays, and day 2 you can be able to walk around the store while you pick up your pain medication....

Thanks to you all for your kind wishes and thoughts.  I really have appreciated them.

Don't know how long I'll be online today, but I wanted you all to know the news..

Thank you, ma'am...it's kind of amazing that you can have surgery like that and feel this good so soon after it...yeah, I'm a bit achy and moving slow...but doing OK is definitely here!

That's great! It really is amazing how quickly they get you moving and out of the hospital after surgery these days. But even though you feel better than you expected, don't push it too much. Pain and fatigue can sneak up on you. Give yourself time to fully recover. I'm so glad it has all gone so well. ^_^

I promise not to do too much...doc says I can't lift more than 10 pounds, and I am taking that seriously. Sitting on my butt and spending more time laying down than usual is definitely in my now and near future.

I'm shocked I feel this well myself...the new surgery techniques are really amazing.

Thanks, friend. Now maybe I'll be able to get some of those stories that have been floating around in the back of my mind out of my head and down in text...

Awww, yay! Salomesensei dropped a note at firsttweak about your surgery, but it's wonderful to hear from you again! Soooo happy things went without incident, and you're already back on your feet, somewhat :P Fingers crossed that this is the end of the nightmare!

Enjoy your drug-induced state, haha.

oh, the drugs...LOL. Amazingly, this is giving me less problem and less need for drugs than my gallbladder surgery ten years ago...who would have guessed? Hoping for a clearer head soon!

So glad to hear you're doing well. Take it easy and be kind to your body. Just because you feel good doesn't mean you can still do what you're used to doing. *shakes finger at you warningly*

Oh, I know. Doc says don't pick up any more than 10 pounds in weight, and that when I am tired, don't knock it back with caffeine, but sleep. And I am sure he is right.

But he also told me I can start to do light exercise after Wednesday, and that is good, too. But right now, I'm so sore it feels like I've done something like 500 sit ups...LOL. That's going to keep me being careful until I see him next week.

At least it'll remind you to take it easy so you don't overdo it. Getting plenty of rest will be hard because people are so used to continuing on even when they know they should slow down. Glad to know you're keeping your sense about things.
